There are moments and sequences in the film that are moving and funny and quietly heartbreaking. But those are few in an overlong film that never quite finds its groove.

A lot more charm was needed here but dullness, unfortunately, is all we get.

Romcoms are supposed to be endearing films that bring a lump in your throat. ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ is far from it.

While the nostalgic references will ensure smiles keep making fleeting appearances on your face, the film won’t quite make you root for the characters.

Parineeti Chopra’s Bindu is bubbly and cute but stays on the surface. Ayushmann Khurrana’s Abhi gets more to play with.

Watch the film for everything. And come out of the theatre with a big, foolish smile.

Meri Pyaari Bindu should have been named as ‘Meri Friend-Zoner Bindu’. With no love and lack of emotions, here’s a 1.5/5 for this film.

his is YRF’s take on a 500 Days of Summer-type modern love. You’ll be humming its tunes even as you walk out of the theatre.

Meri Pyaari Bindu will appeal to the romantic in you, but watching the movie will be a battle between the brain and the heart. Your brain and the movie’s heart, that is.
